Komposition:
George Jackson

Down Home Blues
I see your party's jumping,
Everybody's having a good time.
You know what's going through my mind?
Do you mind, if I get comf't'ble and kick off my shoes?
And while you're fixin' me a drink,
Play me some of them Down home Blues.
You see, I don't get out much on the town.
I'm not the kind of man that's always
runnin' around, all week long.
I've been keeping my cool,
But tonight I'm gonna take my tie off
And party, all need Down home Blues.
Down home Blues, Down home Blues, yeah.
Now, all I wanna hear, are some Down home Blues
all night long.
Get me out a record or two.
Take off those fast, fast records and let me hear some Down home Blues, yeah.
I know, my girl's gonna be upside.
Because of the hour I'll be quitting her tonight,
I don't care.
Tonight I'm gonna do, what I choose.
I'm gonna dance, have me a good time.
So would you, would you play me some….
Down home Blues, Down home Blues.
I wanna hear are some Down home Blues, all night long.
Get me out a record or two.
Let me, let me, let me, let me… let me hear some Down home Blues… one more:
Down home Blues, Down home Blues, yeah.
All I wanna hear are some Down home Blues, all night long.
Get me out a record or two, well.
So would you play me, play me some Down home Blues… all night long!
